Im back and ready to give it a go, see everything the game has to do. So im choosing thief as my class, i play rogue/thief in many other mmos and rpgs.
And finally start a new character with them, you do get down leveled but having someone that has zero trouble doing the content with them due to the better gear and abilities/traits takes away the very little challenge there already is on the starter maps. Also refrain from using mounts to get around with them, tough it out and play old school.

havent touched it since launch. Ok, log in, dont delete anything, create a new character and treat it like a new game. Seriously. Make a new character and explore the world and experiment with the class weapons traits, etc. You will unlock everything by 80, so you cant mess anything up. Worry about optimal builds once you get to 80.
You can take advantage of this to easily go through and salvage things by using certain key terms. When using the search function on the inventory, type: "req" (short for required) to get your salvage kit and all salvageable items. "sal" (short for salvage) to get the salvage items. "rare" to search for just rares.
