Alitaksaid: EGR delete on a diesel is the smartest thing you can do WITH a good tune. Better yet lose the DPF as well. I don't have any beef with a good performing Cat but the non serviceable DPF and EGR's in general are terrible ideas. Malone tuning does a FANTASTIC tune on TDI's if you want to delete these.

Ihave the RawTek delete pipes and a Malone stage 2 tune. I fabricated the EGR block off plates myself from 1/4” steel. Traced the gasket, cut with plasma, drilled bolt holes, cleaned up with buffer, painted flat black, installed. Total cost $15 including new gaskets and about an hour labour total.

TheEGR delete kit works much better with an older diesel motor. In the older generations, the engines have a flaw, allowing for a bypassed route to supply cleaner air to the mixture.
